LO’R ESPRESSO COMPETITION

TERMS AND CONDITIONS – 2025

1. Introduction 
   1. Participation in this Competition is governed by these terms and conditions (the Rules).
   2. Participants shall review the Rules before entering the Competition and acknowledge that they have been given an appropriate opportunity to do so and that they understand and accept these Rules.
   3. This competition is promoted by Jacobs Douwe Egberts ZA (PTY) LTD in conjunction with Tradeway Promotions (Pty) Ltd; Colony Campaigns (Pty) Ltd ; Tourvest Travel (PTY) LTD
   4. Participation in the Competition constitutes acceptance of these Rules and Participants agree to abide by these Rules.

2. By participating in this Competition, Participants agree to the rules set out below.
   1. This Competition is limited to legal residents and/or citizens of South Africa. In addition, the following people shall not be eligible to participate in this Competition:
      1. Directors, members, partners, promotional and advertising agents, merchandisers, employees or consultants of the Promoters.
      2. Spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of any of the persons specified above.
      3. People who are not legal residents and/or legal citizens of the Republic of South Africa.
      4. Persons under the age of 18 years.The Competition shall commence on 1 August 2025 and will end on 31 August 2025. No entries nor till slips dated before 1 August 2025 and after 23:59:59 31 August 2025 will be considered.

3. Mechanics

To participate in this Competition, Participants must adhere to the following:

1. Participants are required to purchase not earlier than 1 August 2025 and before 23:59:59 31 August 2025  any 2 (two) L’OR Espresso branded Products as defined in the below table at any store nationwide in the Republic of South Africa to enter the competition

1. Participants can choose 1 of the three ways below to enter the Competition between 1 August 2025 and before 23:59:59 31 August 2025  :
   1. Scan the QR code on instore point of sale and selected online platforms and follow the prompts
   2. Save this WhatsApp number 060 881 5383, send the word LOR to the number and follow the prompts.
   3. Dial *120*6673# and follow the prompts

1. Entry costs are as per user’s standard WhatsApp data usage
2. USSD costs are 20c / 20 seconds
3. Only one
4. Participants may enter the competition as many times as they wish over the promotional period, provided that participants purchase the two participating products each time and complete the competition entry mechanic and enter a new till slip (proof of purchase) per one entry per cell phone number per day
5. Participants are required to keep their till slip as proof of purchase to constitute a valid entry.
6. All entries from disqualified participants' mobile numbers will be rejected.
7. Only one prize per household and per person irrespective the number of entries.
8. No computer-based entries will be accepted.
9. Any mobile number that enters an invalid till slip five (5) times in succession will be locked out of the Competition for the entire duration of the promotional competition ("Blocked Participants").
10. Blocked Participants have an opportunity to call the JDE Competition Call Centre on 011 215 7140 between 08h30 - 16h30 Monday to Friday should there be a valid reason, which is accepted by the Promoter, for the Blocked Participants to be allowed to re-enter the Competition

4. The Prizes

Participants in the USSD, WhatsApp OR QR code part of the Competition stand a chance to win: 

• Trip for two people to experience the Hypercar Race in Bahrain. Trip is valued at R260 000.00 in total and trip will take place in November 2025.

5. Dates of the prize draw:

• Trip for Two to Bahrain (1 x Grand Prize Winner) will take place on Monday 01 September 2025.

6. The Draw:
   1. The winner will be drawn via random draw utilising a CPA approved system.
   2. The system is 100% competition approved.
   3. The draw is fully automated and works through the system which has been signed off by the competition commission.
   4. One draw for all entries utilizing WhatsApp, QR code or dialling in

7. How to claim your prize:
   1. Travel voucher is strictly to Bahrain for an opportunity to experience the Hypercar Race. Destination cannot be changed.
   2. At the time that a potential prize winner is identified, the potential prize winner will receive a telephone call on the number that was provided at entry from a representative of the Promoters at which point he/she may be required to answer a few questions regarding his/her eligibility as well as be requested to submit certain documents such as a copy of his/her till slip to the Promoters representative.
   3. The potential prize winner is not an actual winner until his/her submission is validated and his/her documents are completed and submitted to the Promotors. If a potential prize winner does not meet the eligibility requirements, the prize will be forfeited and a runner up finalist will be deemed the potential prize winner subject to the terms and conditions herein.
   4. If the Promotors are unable to reach any of the potential prize winners after 3 (three) attempts made within 3 (three) working days of their name being drawn, for whatsoever reason, including incorrect telephone numbers or inoperative telephone numbers, or if the winner refuses to accept prizes for whatsoever reason, such winner will be disqualified and a runner up finalist will be deemed the potential prize winner subject to the terms and conditions herein.
   5. Eligible winner’s prizes will then be arranged in accordance with the winner and the Promoter will arrange logistics, details and all necessary elements to deliver the prize.
   6. The Winner(s) will be required to provide a copy of his/her proof of purchase.
   7. Winner and 1 additional person will both require valid passports with at least 6 months validity and a minimum of 2 blank pages in the passport
   8. Details on the ‘1 x Trip for TWO people to Bahrain to experience Hypercar Race valued at R260 000.00’ prize below:
      1. Prize is valued at R260 000.00 via Tourvest Travel (Subject to exchange rates at the given time)
      2. Travel Prize is valid for a set date, place and time.
      3. Winners will need to avail themselves for the dates of the Trip and ultimately the Hypercar experience.
      4. Itinerary for trip has been pre-planned and approved by Jacobs Douwe Egberts ZA (PTY) LTD and Tourvest Travel (PTY) LTD.
      5. Should you wish to make any changes to the planned trip, this needs to be pre -arranged with Tourvest Travel.
      6. Should there be any changes that affects change in rates that exceeds the R260 000.00 prize value, the competition winner would be liable to pay the difference.
      7. 1 person may take 1 additional person with them. It is a trip for two people only
      8. Winner must be over 18, however 1 additional persons to accompanying the winner does not have to be over 18.
      9. Prize value includes Visa costs but does not include the couriering of Visas. Should your Visa application be declined, the winner will be liable for the additional Visa application costs. If your Visa is rejected the Winner will be disqualified
      10. Prize value includes the following:

1. VIP Experience in Bahrain valued at R160 000.00 (total for TWO People)
   1. Ferrari “Behind the scenes” experience as defined by Tourvest Travel (PTY) LTD:
      1. 2 days access: qualifying and race day
      2. Access to Ferrari’s own hospitality venue (at Bahrain).
      3. You and your guest can access the paddock.
      4. Ferrari garage observation.  You are brought to a special area where you can view the inner workings of the garage. It is separated by glass.
      5. Driver Appearances.
      6. You will be able to join the autograph session from the pit lane before the race.
      7. Lunch both days at Ferrari hospitality areas (Bahrain).
      8. Pit lanes walk on race day both races available
      9. On race day Grid Walk access
      10. Prize Ceremony immediately after race for Bahrain.
      11. Gifting

2. Flights valued at R100 000.00 (total for TWO people) 

• All Flights from JHB (O.R Tambo International Airport) to Bahrain as well as returns Only.
• Should a winner reside in another province within South Africa, it will be the winners responsibility to get themselves to and from R. Tambo International Airport
• All Accommodation during the trip as defined by Tourvest Travel (PTY) LTD
• Breakfast at the Hotels Booked
• Lunch Allowance for the trip, where lunch is not provided valued at USD 120 total (Approximately R2400.00 total)
• Dinner Allowance for the trip, where dinner is not provided valued at USD 150 total (Approximately R3000.00 total)
• Transfers from Airport to Hotel and Hotel Back to Airport as defined by Tourvest Travel (PTY) LTD
• Pre- planned Excursions / Local Trips as per the travel itinerary approved by Tourvest Travel (PTY) LTD
• Visa application costs only
• Travel insurance valued at R100 000.00
• Prize Value does not include:
• 1. Passports.
  2. Recreational Spending Money
  3. Meals not included in approved itinerary by Tourvest Travel (PTY) LTD
  4. Additional Sightseeing
• Winners of the grand prize will be contacted directly from Tourvest to arrange travel details
• The voucher is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• The winner will be required to avail themselves for the planned trip.
• Tradeway, Tourvest or Jacobs Douwe Egberts are not responsible for any additional costs, passport validity, etc. that may be incurred while arranging the trip.

8. General

• The draw results are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
• The Promoters may require the winner to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement to enable the Promoters to ensure compliance with these Rules. Should the winner be found not to have complied with these Rules, he/she will automatically be disqualified, and the prize will be forfeited. Winners may also be required to sign acceptance of prizes and indemnity documents.
• The prize is not transferable, and no substitution or cash redemption of prizes is permitted. The prize will not be handed/awarded to a third party, but only to the verified prize winner.
• The Promoters reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to substitute the prize with any other prize of comparable or greater commercial value for whatever reason.
• By entering this Competition, you authorise the Promoters to collect, store and use (not share) personal information of Participants for communication or statistical purposes. You are entitled to decline any marketing communication by opting out when following the competition prompts.
• Any personal data submitted by you will be used solely in accordance with current South African data protection legislation and the Promoters privacy policy.
• Participants may be required to take part in publicity campaigns for broadcast or publishing purposes. Participants shall always be entitled to decline the above request. Participants that take part in any publicity will not be entitled to any payment or other remuneration for such publicity or otherwise. All publicity and other materials will be the sole property of the Promoters.
• Nothing in these Rules is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the Participant or the Promoters in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 ("CPA").
• All Participants participate entirely at their own risk. By reading and accepting these Rules, the Participants give consent to these risks and hereby indemnifies and holds harmless the Promoters, their directors, employees and agents of any and all liability pertaining to any damage, cost, injuries and losses of whatever nature sustained as a result of their participation in the Competition and related events and activities, save where such damage, cost, injuries and losses are sustained as a result of the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of any of the Promoters.
• The Promoters, their directors, employees, agents and distributors accept no responsibility and they will not, in any circumstances, be liable to compensate the Participants, or accept any liability for: (a) any inability by the Participant to use the prize in part or at all; (b) the lack of quality or any other aspect of any service which is or should be provided at any venue(s) in relation to the prize; or (c) any personal loss or injury occurring at any venue(s) arising, directly or indirectly, out of the use of the prize.
• The Promoters, their directors, employees, agents and distributors, are not responsible for any misrepresentation (whether written or verbal) in respect of any prize nor in respect of any warranties or undertakings given by any person other than the Promoters themselves.
• The Promoters reserve the right to terminate or extend the Competition at any time. In the event of such termination or extension, all Participants agree to waive (give up) any rights that they may have in terms of the Promotion and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoters, its advertising agencies, advisors, suppliers and nominated agents.
• By entering the Competition, Participants acknowledge that the Promotion will be managed in accordance with the provisions of the CPA. Participants undertake to expeditiously do all things necessary to enable the Promoters to comply with their obligations under the CPA including, but not limited to providing such personal information as may be required in order to facilitate handing over the prize to the Participant. Should any Participant refuse or be unable to comply with this requirement, the Participant shall be deemed to have forfeited the prize.
• Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in these Rules, the Promoters reserve the right to amend, modify, change, postpone suspend or cancel this Competition, the Rules and any prize (which has not yet been allocated), or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which the Promoters deem necessary. At the end of the Competition for whatsoever reason, all the Promoters' obligations in regard to the Competition as well as in regard to the prizes shall cease to exist.
• These Rules shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of the Republic of South Africa and any Participant and Jacobs Douwe Egberts ZA (Pty) Ltd consent to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa.
